As well as drawing bananas i have been doing some proper drawing as well, all over this Ted James Design custom made BMX frame. I think i said before but this was so unbelievably far outside my comfort zone, in that the pen was thick and the bike is made up of inaccessible round tubes as opposed to my normal weapons of extremely smooth and white hard bristol board and super precise technical pens.

Anyways i love BMXs and i really like Ted’s work and his relentless approach to work so i was super stoked to have been asked and i definitely enjoyed the challenge.

Hopefully some more of this stuff in the buttpipeline.

There are some more photos posted here:

Still drawing bananas.

 Hope this is going somewhere…

Some poor quality photos of some junk i have been messing around with recently.

Some cloudy guy, a monkey guy and some banananas.

Definitely i am one of the world’s worst photographers.

Some bike stuff:

New Hope Pro2 single speed rear and Pro3 front, Dobarmann Tchokr fork and finally my Brooklyn Machine Works BMX forks, probably my favorite possession.

Yes Turtles Lego

Some photos of this Ted James BMX that  i have been drawing all over.

This thing is flippin awkward: i have to keep propping it up on stuff to get it in a good position to draw on, then the pen dries out, or doesn’t work in any other angle apart from completely point-down-vertical but anyways it is pretty fun, should have it finished soon.

Five minutes later…..

just messing around really making up some characters and then i’m working on some bootleg Orange bikes stickers for a restoration project at work and a Ted James Designs Custom built BMX frame that i am drawing all over for a friend at the end.

It’s been forever since i updated this thing, partially because i have been sick for two months with glandular fever so i haven’t really done anything for ages except for moan and watch TV! It’s a shit illness by the way…

Anyways it’s always super intimidating getting back to drawing after taking even a couple of days off, i find at least, so i have been fishing around trying to drag my motivation out from whichever gutter it has been hiding out in of late.

I’m not really an art lover and i definitely don’t follow art or illustration or whatevs but i do remember seeing drawings and thinking that it’s great that you can draw whatever you want and just a load of junk and that it’s all just for fun really and it’s not in any way serious so i thought i7d share some of these things with you.

Like Punk lPs, particularly this Dead Kennedys Bedtime for Democracy double spread by Winston Smith, and these funny Chemical People covers by Dick Cheese Comics.

Also i like some comics but mostly it’s MTV stuff. But Ren and Stimpy is really important for me because it’s the first cartoon to use this really gross close up static shots, like when it zooms in on a rotten tooth or a spot or some gross man’s hairy back, that kind of stuff, so i like that you can be really detailed just for the sake of making stuff a bit more disgusting.

The comic with al the faces on it is actually a back cover advert drawn by Tom Veitch who is sick, associated with Starwars or Star Wars but before that he was an underground comix heavy hitter.

Anyways i7m getting back on with stuff now finally so i’l put some on in about 5 minutes once i have fabricated a cup of tea in me old kitchen with the kettle and all.

It was Saint Valentine’s day today, just in case the fact had escaped you, and it is the tradition in Japan for girls to bequeath unto their true love a gift of finest candies.
Mine wife did truly giveth unto me six Kinder Eggs in an Egg box and i eated one already by the time i took this photo.
